Bookkeeping ConsultantThanks so much for considering us! We have just emerged from a very bad experience with our previous bookkeeping company. That’s life of course and frankly, it wasn’t their fault. There were some very sad and unfortunate circumstances on their end. That said, moving forward at least during the rebuilding stages, we need to have more knowledge and control over the inner workings of our books. To make things right, we are establishing a new bank account and a new fresh company file (Quickbooks) with zero financial transactions imported from the old file. We will import clients and vendor data. Everything else will be starting from scratch. As opposed to hiring a bookkeeping service we would prefer to be able to ask the questions that need asking, get assistance where we need it and together chart the right course moving forward. The ultimate goal is for us to have a more complete understanding of what, when and how to get this job done right. We want to know each week that our books are balanced properly and the liabilities and taxes due are on the radar and budgeted for. This “as needed” position has the potential to evolve into a regular position but this should not be part of your decision making process up front as this is not our immediate need and we do not want to disappoint you down the road. We need to know that you will have the time required by us to get this new company file setup within Quickbooks as we move forward. Recommendations are of value if you can supply them. It is particularly important to us that you have good computer skills in general as much of what we will be doing is remote, require video, file sharing etc. In today’s world banks, tax agencies and everything else use online portals. We cannot stress this part enough. Availability: It is very important that you have enough time available to help us. Given that you have experience, you’ll have some idea of the time to help us get things setup properly. We have experienced the problem of a bookkeeper who had stretched themselves too thin and our business suffered as a result.
